NHS England has 1.5 million employees across 200 trusts. At just one of those trusts, 25,000 members of staff were using nearly 200 different tools just for delivering HR services. The Neuron team saw an opportunity to build something better.
With Superblocks, business teams now build their own enterprise-grade applications connected to live NHS data across Supabase, AWS, and Microsoft Entra ID. Lukas Saridis, a designer with no engineering background, built the entire platform.

Rethinking how a trust delivers HR
The NHS is the world's largest healthcare provider. Within a single trust, staff rely on dozens of disconnected tools for HR, procurement, recruitment, helpdesk, and case management. Each workflow operates slightly differently. Off-the-shelf enterprise software was never designed for this level of complexity and customization.
The Neuron team saw a different path: build one modular app that handles all of it, designed around the way their trust actually works.

Lukas Saridis studied design. He had never connected to a database or shipped a production application. With Clark, the AI coding agent in Superblocks, he built one of the most sophisticated applications the platform has seen: 156+ APIs, 45+ pages, multi-factor authentication, role-based access control, and complex approval chains.
