One of the first questions
we are ask is, "what is the cost of the system?"
This system is more economical than conventional
construction because of the fantastic benefits,
continued savings in energy cost (this alone could
pay for a good portion of college expense), downsizing
heating and cooling equipment and associated ducting,
rebates from local energy companies, lower insurance
cost, lower maintenance cost, quicker sale and
higher resale values. The initial investment is
a little more than a conventional construction,
somewhere in the order of 2 to 3% increase in
the overall cost of a new home. The accompanying
charts is an attempt to do an apples to apples
comparison of our wall system to different modes
of construction. However, you must keep in mind
that a conventional construction can not compare
to the benefits of our wall system. It would be
the same as trying to compare a used Ford Escort
to a new Lincoln.
